Capcom’s "Resident Evil 6" Wins Best Sound Editing Award
at the Golden Reel Awards
Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) is pleased to announce that " Resident Evil 6" received on February 17 the award for "Best Sound Editing: Computer Interactive Entertainment" at The 60th MPSE Golden Reel Awards, which are given by the Motion Picture Sound Editors.
The Golden Reel Awards started 60 years ago. These prestigious awards recognize excellence involving sound in the production of full-length movies, television programs, game software and other forms of entertainment. "Resident Evil 6" was chosen over a number of other nominated titles for the best sound editing award this year.
"Resident Evil 6" is one of Capcom’s flagship titles. Capcom aimed to create sound that expresses the world of this game dramatically and emotionally to better enable players to become one with the game’s characters. Players can also enjoy highly realistic graphics. Other features include upgraded online capabilities, enhanced game action and other new components. All these features have enabled "Resident Evil 6" to record an all-time high for Capcom of 4.5 million units for initial shipments of this title.
