Street Fighter League: Pro‑JP 2025 Hit an All‑Time High!
– Capcom to bring the competition to a new level with the debut of the Asia League in 2027 –

Capcom Co., Ltd. today announced new initiatives in its eSports business, including the launch of an Asia League for Street Fighter League and a lowered minimum age requirement for participation.

Street Fighter League: Pro‑JP 2025, operated by Capcom as Japan’s premier esports team league, achieved record‑breaking results at its Grand Final event held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, where both paid livestream viewership*1 and on‑site admission ticket sales*2 reached all‑time highs. After a series of intense matches, Team REJECT claimed the title of Japan’s top team for the season, earning a 9-million-yen championship prize along with a qualification slot at the world finals scheduled for March. The tournament concluded with resounding success.

The upcoming Street Fighter League: Pro‑JP 2026 season will once again feature 12 teams competing in a two‑division structure, with six teams in each division battling for the championship. To further cultivate the next generation of competitive players and energize the esports scene, the minimum participation age has been lowered to 15 years old. Further, the company is exploring the establishment of a women’s league in the future. Capcom will continue driving initiatives that expand opportunities for all players to thrive, including younger players and women.

Looking ahead, Capcom has decided to launch a new Asia League for Street Fighter League in 2027. As the company looks to take its initiatives to the next level, expectations are high for the league to further elevate the global presence of Street Fighter 6 within the international esports landscape.

Capcom is committed to promoting industry development through building a structure aimed at expanding the esports ecosystem so that fans and competitors alike can enjoy the thrill of competition.
