Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) hereby issues the following supplementary information, having received an inquiry regarding the above press release, issued on July 19, 2018.

  • ① This judgement pertains to the lawsuit to rescind a decision for Capcom’s patent #3295771 (case number: 2017 (Gyo-Ke) 10174) and does not constitute a ruling regarding the patent infringement lawsuit (case number: 2018 (Ne) 10006).
  • ② The following is a supplement to a description of the Patent listed in the third paragraph of the press release (supplementary information has been underlined).

The Patent relates to relaying information to the player of a game via vibrations occurring in the controller, where the intermittent cycle for periodically occurring vibrations are modified depending upon the situation in which the character of the game is in, when it is judged that the situation in the game meets certain conditions.
