Street Fighter 6 Sales Surpass 7 Million Units Worldwide!
– Capcom continues to expand sales through its Single Content Multiple Usage strategy –

Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced that cumulative sales of Street Fighter 6, released in 2023, have surpassed 7 million units.

Released seven years after the previous title in the franchise, Street Fighter 6 represents a new generation of fighting games. The title can be enjoyed by a wide array of players, thanks to features such as Modern Control Type, a new controller input option that allows special attacks to be performed without complex button combinations, as well as strengthened accessibility features. In addition, Capcom has continued to provide additional content such as new characters since the title’s release so that users can enjoy the game on an ongoing basis. As part of these initiatives, the company has decided to add four new characters to mark the game’s fourth year.

Further, Capcom is working to expand its user base through esports, one result of which was the Street Fighter division recording the highest number of participants in the world in one of the world’s largest fighting game tournaments^*1 and being recognized by Guinness World Records™ ^*2. Additionally, in step with the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance global awareness of its IP, it will release a live-action Street Fighter film worldwide on October 16, 2026.

Under its Single Content Multiple Usage strategy, Capcom will continue to promote the multifaceted expansion of its IP across games, esports, film, and other media in order to achieve sustainable growth and enhance corporate value.
