Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance Wins an Award in the
Future Division at the Japan Game Awards 2026!

Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced that Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance won an award in the Future Division of the Japan Game Awards 2026, held by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association.

The Future Division recognizes unreleased titles announced or exhibited at Tokyo Game Show 2026 that are considered highly anticipated based on user voting and evaluation by a selection committee. Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance (scheduled for release in 2027) is a massive expansion that builds upon Monster Hunter Wilds, released in February 2025. The title was selected for an award after attracting significant interest from users, including the many visitors who experienced it via the playable demo offered at Tokyo Game Show.
