Resident Evil Village Gold Edition Announced!
– Capcom looks to expand sales channels with enhanced content via its multiplatform strategy –

Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced that multiplatform title Resident Evil Village Gold Edition is scheduled to be released on October 28, 2022.

The Resident Evil franchise features survival horror games in which players utilize a variety of weapons and other items to escape terrifying situations. Cumulative shipments of the games in the series now exceed 125 million units*1 since the first title debuted in 1996. Now, more than 25 years later, continuous support from the passionate fan base across the globe makes it Capcom’s flagship game series.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition adds both a new story as well as a highly anticipated Third-Person Mode to 2021 release Resident Evil Village (Village, below), a title which has sold 6.1 million^*1 units worldwide. At the same time as this release, Capcom will launch Resident Evil Re:Verse, an online multiplayer action game that will be provided free to players who purchased either Village or Resident Evil Village Gold Edition.

Moreover, in addition to Capcom bringing Village to PlayStation® VR2, it will also be released for the Apple Mac^*2. Going forward, Capcom will further grow sales channels and enhance brand value by proactively pursuing expansion in line with its multiplatform strategy.
