Capcom Annual Report 2008 Receives Nikkei Annual Report Award!

Capcom Co., Ltd. is proud to announce that its Annual Report 2008 has been selected for recognition in the 11th Nikkei Annual Report Awards sponsored by the Nihon Keizai Shimbun.

This annual report competition has been held every year since 1998, presenting the most prestigious awards for annual reports of Japanese companies. More than 100 companies submit their annual reports for consideration by a panel of judges made up of fund managers and securities analysts. Reports are evaluated based on 13 qualitative and quantitative items, ensuring that scores are determined with strict fairness and accuracy.

The award-winning Capcom Annual Report 2008 includes a question-and-answer section in which the chairman explains specific actions to achieve long-term strategic objectives. The report also provides thorough discussions of strategic initiatives for consistent growth. Subjects include the “single content multiple usage” approach for games, a core Capcom strength, measures to strengthen overseas operations, and other actions. Overall, the volume and breadth of information in the report has been increased from previous years to give investors a better understanding of the company.

To maintain a high degree of transparency for its operations, Capcom remains dedicated to conducting investor relations activities based on three fundamental themes: establishing a responsible IR framework, further upgrading the disclosure of information, and ensuring the timely and proper disclosure of information.
