Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Scheduled for September 6 Launch!

Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) has announced that Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, a massive expansion for Monster Hunter: World, will launch on September 6 for PlayStation_®4 and Xbox One*. The PC version will follow this winter.
*The Xbox One version will be available in North America and Europe only.

The Monster Hunter series consists of hunting action games that pit players against giant monsters in a beautiful natural environment. The series has sparked a social phenomenon known as the "Monster Hunter Craze" by introducing a new kind of communication style for players through cooperative play focused on hunting monsters with their friends. Since the first Monster Hunter title made its debut 15 years ago in 2004, the series has attracted a dedicated fan base, and overall grown into a mega-hit, with cumulative sales of the series exceeding 54 million units as of March 31, 2019.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne (Iceborne) will be a massive, premium expansion rivaling the gameplay volume from Monster Hunter: World, a title that has shipped more than 12 million units worldwide. While boasting a host of new elements, Iceborne will deliver a full narrative experience that continues from the ending of Monster Hunter: World, while maintaining its critically acclaimed world and game play. Iceborne is scheduled for a global simultaneous release on September 6, 2019, while Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition, a bundle that also includes Monster Hunter: World, is planned for those players who have yet to experience the base game.

Further, in celebration of the Monster Hunter series’ 15th anniversary this year, Capcom is planning a number of activities designed to further enhance the brand, including the sale of an anniversary t-shirt featuring the logos of 15 titles from the series, as well as an orchestrated concert that will play in five cities across Japan.
