Monster Hunter X (Cross) Wins Award for Excellence and Best Sales Award at the Japan Game Awards: 2016!
RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard, Monster Hunter Stories, Megami Meguri receive awards in the Future Division –

Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced Monster Hunter X (Cross) (titled Monster Hunter Generations outside of Japan and Asia) was awarded the Best Sales Award along with an Award for Excellence in the Games of the Year Division of the Japan Game Awards: 2016 (held by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association). The prizes were announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2016, which was held from September 15-18. Additionally, three Capcom titles—RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard, Monster Hunter Stories, and Megami Meguri—were recognized in the Future Division Awards.

Monster Hunter X (Cross), winner of the Award for Excellence and Best Sales Award, is a title in the Monster Hunter series that offers individual players even greater possibilities in developing their own style of hunting. Utilizing the world and gameplay of previous entries as a starting point, the game is distinguished by its high level of freedom with new action elements like Hunter Arts and Hunting Styles, which can be combined with 14 kinds of weapons to create a myriad of fresh ways to play.
In addition to receiving praise for new elements, such as Prowler Mode where players can take on quests as a "Felyne Palico," the title has sold more than 3.3 million units* as a result of maintaining user interest via numerous cross-industry collaborations.

In the Future Division, where players vote to select the upcoming titles they most look forward to, three Capcom titles received awards: RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard, Monster Hunter Stories, and Megami Meguri. These titles were very popular among show attendees, boasting long lines at the booths where people could play demo versions of each.
