3. Reasons for Change
Capcom Co., Ltd. was founded by the current president, Kenzo Tsujimoto, in 1983. The company has experienced many changes over the years while growing to become the company it is today. One of the more recent of these changes is the introduction of the operating officer. In the previous fiscal year, Capcom managed to exceed financial expectations and has reached one of its primary business management reformation goals.
Capcom would like to take this opportunity to further clarify the roles of management and executive staff by centering its business model on the two distinct roles of the CEO, who is responsible for management strategy, and the COO, who is responsible for the conduct of corporate affairs. This will allow Capcom to more actively expand its business in the future. A young president will also bring with him new energy that will help Capcom continue to grow over the coming years.
