CAMPAIGN
CAMPAIGN
Play a story-driven CAMPAIGN in which you take control of a Umbrella Secret Service (U.S.S.) operative. Kit out your chosen operative with weapons and individual abilities obtained by spending experience points (XP) gained in CAMPAIGN or VERSUS. Play alone or cooperate with others online.
START CAMPAIGN
You will start the game from the first mission.
FREE PLAY
You can play through a mission which you have already beaten.
* You can only choose from the difficulty which you have already beaten.
* If you have installed DLC content, those missions can be chosen through FREE PLAY.
QUICK MATCH
Automatically join an in-progress online match. The game difficultly will be determined by the player hosting the match.
CONTINUE CAMPAIGN
If you have a mission that you have previously started, you will resume the game from your last save point.
* This does not apply to DLC missions.
RESTART CAMPAIGN
You will abandon your current CAMPAIGN game and begin playing from the first mission.
* This does not apply to DLC missions.
Creating and joining a game
Once you are connected to the internet, you can choose whether or not to make the match you are hosting available for other players to join.
PUBLIC
If you choose to host a PUBLIC game, other players can join freely.
* Only selectable when online.
PRIVATE
If you choose to host a PRIVATE game, only invited players may join.
* Only selectable when online.
OFFLINE
Displayed when you are not connected to the internet.
During the mission, AI characters will support you.
The mission details are the same whether you are online or offline.
Difficulty
You can change the difficulty with the R1 buttonRBD at the mission selection screen.
Friendly fire is activated when the difficulty is set to Veteran or anything higher.
* If you wish to change the difficulty after you have started a mission, please follow the steps below. Changing the difficultly mid-game will eliminate your checkpoints, and you will start the mission over from the beginning.
