The campaign is a single-player, story-driven, horror experience, but two players can play together with Raid Mode.
Battle it out in this mode, where both friend and enemy life gauges are displayed.
You can turn your weapon into a more powerful ally by
increasing its firing power, firing speed, and ammo capacity.
You can only purchase higher level weapons.
Your weapon's levels won't go up just by using it.
You can, however, purchase parts for your weapons to
customize them and make them more effective.
You may have a couple of weapons at the same level,
but if you have extra slots for one, you can purchase
customization parts to make the one weapon better.
Just because the weapons are the same level,
doesn't mean they will have the same specs.
In the story mode, Jessica, Clive,
and others are not playable characters.
Raid Mode gives you the opportunity to take control
of them and other characters.
Each character has two unique skills,
so choose the skill set that suits your play style.
The characters also start out at different levels,
so you can't access weapons that are higher than your level.
The more you use a character, however,
the more their level will increase.
All the enemies from the story mode will appear
in Raid Mode with new abilities.
For example, a creature with a shield icon
will have higher defense than normal.
As you fight, you'll see how the Raid Mode
creatures differ greatly from their story mode counterparts.
You can play co-op mode either through
ad-hoc or over the Internet.
Play with friends at home,
or with players from around the world.
