Street Fighter 6 Original Soundtrack

INTRODUCTION 作品紹介
In Street Fighter 6, each of the game’s three main modes was given a distinct musical direction.
Fighting Ground captures the spirit of underground street culture, Battle Hub is driven by jazz-infused arrangements,
and World Tour delivers a modern, urban sound built around heavily processed brass and vocal sample phrases.
While each soundtrack stands out on its own, together they form a cohesive musical experience that “glues” the game.
Character themes were also specially mixed to complement the in-game sound design, and through our collaboration with acclaimed,
multi-award-winning audio engineer IRKO, we pushed every track to deliver the ultimate groove.
REVIEW

Yoshiya TerayamaComposer
This soundtrack pays tribute to the rich musical legacy of Street Fighter while embracing a more global sound shaped by a wide range of cultural influences, including hip-hop.
Each character theme was composed to reflect who that character is today.
Ken, for example, begins this story under extremely difficult circumstances.
With his theme, I wanted to capture both his determination to rise above adversity and the unmistakable coolness that defines him, no matter how challenging the situation.
We’ll continue expanding and updating the game, so I hope everyone looks forward to hearing the new music still to come.

I had the pleasure of making the theme for Jamie, one of the new characters introduced in Street Fighter 6. The track was designed to incorporate all of the key elements outlined by the development team: Jamie is from Hong Kong, excels at breakdancing, practices Drunken Boxing, and enjoys playing the trumpet.
Every one of those traits found its way into the music.
I still remember insisting to the managers that we should record live guitar, bass, and drums for the track.
Looking back, it was a bit of a selfish request, but thanks to that decision, the result was a soundtrack that feels both funky and dynamic.

For Street Fighter 6, I worked on several tracks during the early stages of development. I remember the team spending a great deal of time exploring different musical directions as we searched for the right sound for the game.
One track that I approached with particular care was Chun-Li’s theme, “Not A Little Girl.”
As I composed it, I found myself reflecting on my memories of playing Street Fighter II in arcades and imagining how Chun-Li has evolved since then.
The goal was to blend those memories with the person she has become today.
