Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced that Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak<\/em> for Nintendo Switch and PC, a massive premium expansion for Monster Hunter Rise<\/em>, is scheduled for release in summer of 2022.<\/p>\n\n

The Monster Hunter<\/em> series consists of hunting action games that pit players against giant monsters in beautiful natural environments. Beginning with the first title in 2004, the series established a new genre in which players cooperate to hunt ferocious monsters with their friends and has since grown into a global phenomenon with cumulative sales of the series exceeding 75 million units shipped as of June 30, 2021. Further, Monster Hunter Rise<\/em>, released in March 2021 for Nintendo Switch, has achieved global success with cumulative sales now exceeding 7.5 million units worldwide (as of September 24, 2021), driven by an effective digital sales strategy and ongoing free title updates.<\/p>\n\n

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak<\/em> is a massive premium expansion for Monster Hunter Rise<\/em>. In addition to new quest ranks, locales, monsters and hunting actions, players will be able to enjoy new story elements as well.
