Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced the release dates of Monster Hunter Wilds<\/em>, Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition<\/em>, Resident Evil 3<\/em>, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition<\/em> for Nintendo Switch™ 2.<\/p>\n \n

Monster Hunter Wilds<\/em> is the latest title in the same hunting action game series, released in February 2025. It is the first title in the series to feature cross-play, providing players with an environment in which they can enjoy the game together regardless of platform. To further expand its user base, Capcom has now announced that it will also release the game on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 4, 2026. Further, Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance<\/em>, a massive expansion for the title, will also have a Nintendo Switch 2 version and is scheduled for release in 2027.<\/p>\n\n

In addition, Capcom will release three titles from the company’s flagship Resident Evil<\/em> series on the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16, 2026: Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition<\/em>, Resident Evil 3<\/em>, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition<\/em>. By releasing major titles such as Resident Evil 2<\/em>—which has achieved more than 20 million units in cumulative sales worldwide\u2014on new platforms, the company aims to further expand its user base.<\/p>\n \n
