Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced that Monster Hunter Wilds<\/em> won an Award for Excellence in the Games of the Year Division of the Japan Game Awards 2025 (held by the Computer Entertainment Supplier\u2019s Association). In addition, a Capcom record of four titles were chosen in the Future Division.<\/p>\n\n

The Games of the Year Division covers titles released between April 1, 2024 and May 31, 2025, with winners announced on September 23, 2025. The Future Division focuses on unreleased titles that are revealed or exhibited at Tokyo Game Show 2025, with winners announced highly anticipated at the event. Both are chosen through voting by game players followed by a review conducted by the selection committee.<\/p>\n\n

Winner of an Award for Excellence, Monster Hunter Wilds<\/em> is a hunting action game that pits players against giant monsters in a dynamically changing natural environment. By incorporating crossplay, the title allows users to cooperatively play the game together in real time regardless of their game platform. The title was lauded by fans and the selection committee for its pursuit of player immersion, including beautiful visual depictions made possible by Capcom\u2019s proprietary RE ENGINE.<\/p>\n\n

Furthermore, Resident Evil Requiem<\/em> (scheduled release: February 27, 2026), Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection<\/em> (scheduled release: March 13, 2026), Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection<\/em> (scheduled release: 2026) and PRAGMATA<\/em> (scheduled release: 2026) won awards in the Future Division. These titles garnered attention from the many showgoers who played them at the show.<\/p>\n\n
