Quick Combos

Beginners can also take advantage of this new system!

Street Fighter X Tekken features a Quick Combo system! Quick Combos are preset combos that can be unleashed by pressing 2 buttons (Light Punch + Heavy Kick) at the same time. However, it costs 1 block of the Cross Gauge to use a Quick Combo. There is a consequence to using them, but players who have trouble with combos will find them very helpful!

Ryu's Preset 1 Quick Combo has a Cross Rush (Light, Medium, Heavy, Heavy attack) with a Launcher recorded! Use a Quick Combo to easily unleash a Cross Rush!
The Quick Combo command can be recorded on the button of your choice from the Controller Settings menu!

It's possible to now deal damage all at once without the need for difficult commands!

Tutorial

Beginners can learn the basics via the in-game tutorial

Street Fighter X Tekken also features a beginner-friendly Tutorial mode. The tutorials are taught by the master of the Saikyo Arts, Dan Hibiki! Learn about SFXTK's battle system by putting the various teachings of Dan into practice!
For example, one tutorial teaches you about the critical technique, throw escaping. If you continually fail this tutorial, Dan will give you an Auto Throw Escape Gem, allowing you to easily clear this tutorial.

The Throw Escape Tutorial starts.

Escape an opponent's throw attempt by quickly inputting the throw command (simultaneously press Light Punch and Kick).

Once you escape a throw 3 times, the tutorial is over.

If you continually fail the tutorial, Dan, unable to sit idly by while his pupil struggles, will reappear.

Dan will suggest using the Auto Throw Escape Assist Gem.

While 1/2 of the Cross Gauge is used each time the Auto Throw Escape effect is activated, as long as you have it available, you will not be thrown.

Cinematic Rival Battles

The cinematic rival battles from Street Fighter IV make an appearance in Street Fighter X Tekken.

With the official tag teams, when enough progress is made, a rival battle appears.
With that tag team, what kind of spectacle will appear?
Check out the rival battle for Ryu and Ken!

Ryu and Ken encounter Kazuya and Nina during their adventure. Ken, concerned about getting into an unnecessary encounter with the belligerent Kazuya looks at Ryu, who is already getting ready for battle. In the chase for Pandora, rivals clash in battle!

Pandora

The epic story of Street Fighter X Tekken begins with that mysterious box...!

■(When your vitality gauge is under 25%)↓↓MP+MK simultaneously
The story of Street Fighter X Tekken begins with a mysterious meteor that crash lands in the Antarctic. Within the meteor is a strange box-shaped object named "Pandora", which is beyond human comprehension. It cannot be opened by conventional means, but gives off a strong response when it detects violent confrontations.

Press ↓↓MP+MK simultaneously when your vitality gauge is under 25% to activate Pandora. When you activate Pandora, your partner's strength will increase exponentially.

The power of the character who calls upon Pandora is necessary to fuel the technique. By sacrificing their vitality to Pandora, their partner will be able to enter Pandora mode.

Pandora is a system with a built-in time limit. In Pandora mode, the Cross Gauge will be filled to maximum capacity, and you will be able to use EX and Super Arts infinitely. However, if you are not able to defeat your opponent within the time limit, you will automatically be knocked out. Be careful when you use this technique!

Scramble Battle

Four-player mode finally makes an appearance! This is Street Fighter X Tekken's party mode!

In Scramble Battle, all 4 characters will appear on the stage at the same time! You can also play this mode online! Achieve previously unthought-of attacks that can come from any direction at any time! This is a mode that can be enjoyed by even those new to fighting games! Attack and help your partner out, or stand together and fight, this is a mode that gives you true freedom!

All four characters appear at the same time in Scramble Battle in this wild and crazy tag team rumble! While a player cannot normally team with a CPU character, it is possible in this mode (Scramble Battle requires 2 - 4 players).

Your vitality gauge is shared with your partner, so keep track of your partner's movements and end things with a combo! Of course, you can also enjoy Scramble Battle online, so you can play with friends all over the world!

Briefing Room

Level up your game with your partner!

In the Briefing Room, you can either train with or against another player online! Invite a partner, and then set up either a P1 vs. P2 sparring session, or a P1/P2 vs. CPU training session. You can even set up Fight Request while you train to smoothly enter a battle and show off the fruits of your labor to your unlucky opponents!

Begin a training session with a partner against a CPU. In this case, the main player is Ryu and the partner is Ken.

Practice and create new combos with a partner by linking your attacks together. Of course, you can also spar against each other!

And with the Briefing Room Fight Request, you can take on challengers at any time!

2 on 2 Paired Battles

The 2 on 2 tag battle becomes a reality!

This is a mode where you can switch up with a partner on the fly and fight as a true tag team! Cooperate with your partner and unleash a mighty Cross Rush! Victory can only be achieved through smart play with your partner!

Using Heavy Punch and Kick, Tekken users can also perform original Street Fighter X Tekken combos that have never been seen before!

■Switch: Press Medium Punch and Kick simultaneously
■Switch Canceling: (during an attack) Press Medium Punch and Kick simultaneously

By pressing Medium Punch and Kick simultaneously, you will be able to switch between characters! Switching leaves you wide open to attacks, but you will be able to switch between characters without using the Cross Gauge!

Switch Canceling is an important feature of the battle system. It greatly increases the viability of your attacks. Used when attacking, it allows you to keep up the pressure with a barrage of attacks, and it will also let you cover for any holes in your attack! However, it uses 1 block of the Cross Gauge, so it must be used with care.

Pressing Medium Punch and Kick simultaneously normally will allow you to perform a switch without consuming any of the Cross Gauge.

Shoryuken is blocked, creating an opening for a counter attack by the opponent...

However, a new opening is created from this tight spot by using a Switch Cancel! Your partner appears while the move is still in motion!

Before your opponent has a chance to counter attack, press on with your attack!
