Members of the “Multi-Matching BB” now exceeded 60,000!!

The number of players accessing PlayStation 2 on-line games via “Multi-Matching BB (MMBB)”, a network game system that KDDI started its services since September 2003, exceeded 60,000 as of end of March 2004.

“MONSTER HUNTER”, the most current software for “MMBB” released on March 11, 2004 from CAPCOM gathered more than 15,000 players at one time. The ratio of accessing users to the available game software is enormously high.

CAPCOM will continuously support “MMBB” services and this coming fall “BIOHAZARD (RESIDENT EVIL) OUTBREAK file2 (tentative name)” will be released and other titles from other software companies are also coming up sequentially.

To respond with increasing number of members and accesses, equipment such as server and other system capacities are being reinforced and will be improved continuously to provide better services environments. KDDI is under its consideration of expanding “MMBB” services in North America, Europe, and Asian regions.
